Marlee and Ben are some of the biggest sweethearts I have ever had the pleasure to work with. From the moment we first met during our first zoom call, I found myself so excited about their wedding vision and yearning to know them more!
I loved that these two intentionally planned their wedding day with the feeling and environment they were creating in mind. Their vision was a simple wedding day that felt cozy and laid back in the Orangerie at Red Butte Garden. Marlee and Ben wanted beautiful, flowy, and candid photos. And It was very important that we captured their love and the little moments of connection throughout the day.

Starting With Their Mountain Engagement Photos
For their engagement photos, we went up to Alta. a place they love to hike and ski, and one of the most beautiful mountain areas in Utah! During their engagement session, we connected over our love for the mountains, and talked a lot about Japan! They have visited the country a couple times and Ben proposed to Marlee there. Plus, who doesn’t love sushi and ramen?!

Red Butte Garden Wedding in the Orangerie
Throughout the entire planning process, Marlee & Ben were very thoughtful and intentional about creating a laid back and comfortable environment on their wedding day.
The Orangerie at Red Butte Garden created a beautiful environment to connect with their closest friends. With a relaxed indoor environment that is covered in plant walls and trees. And it’s large windows that look out over Salt Lake City on one side, and the gardens of Red Butte on the other.

Their wedding ceremony was short and simple, yet heartfelt. And their focus on each other kept them grounded in the present.. It was clear these two care deeply for each other and their loved ones.

Marlee and Ben spent some time before sunset to wander the gardens together. They have spent many dates in these gardens and used this as time to connect with each other and take in the present moment. And despite their wedding being in November, the sun came out to keep us warm.

Intimate Wedding Reception at Red Butte Garden
Marlee and Ben wanted an intimate wedding to connect with their closest friends and family. Their loved ones spoke about their kind souls and love for one another over dinner. After dinner, they spent the rest of the evening hanging out with their loved ones and doing a bit of dancing!

Eventually, closing the night out with some cake and bubbles to send the newly weds off to Mexico for a relaxing honeymoon!
